, 4.5 stars, i recommend this as an alternative to traditional strap-based heart rate monitors in my opinion

The previous week. I search for information on the Jabra SPORT PULSE Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Earbuds with Built-In Heart, so i would like to describe here.

really solid-more like 4.5 stars. I looking for alternatives to the chest strap heart rate monitors for years. several months ago I bought and returned the LG electronics HRM, which is based on the same technology as in-ear monitoring, also due to software glitchy, inconsistent and extremely poor GPS heart rate monitor. When this Jabra product came on the market I pre-ordered and hoping that would work as promised and after a week with the headset and 20 (/-) miles running I can recommend this with only some aspects. Below is an outline of the pros and cons. Pros: No chest strap. in the ear of the heart rate monitor was the main factor that drives my interest in this product. set-up was a breeze. I had the headset functions within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box (Note: it is matched with the new iPhone with 6 IOS8). a slight twist in the mating process: iPhone bluetooth will show 2 Jabra signals, and one must combine both of these. Evidently there are separate signals for the HRM and music and other features or something. very precise measurement of the heart rate. After running with shoulder straps that generally know where my heart rate should be through the various levels of effort and Jabra headsets seemed highly accurate and reflected changes fairly quickly. This time out is not head-to-head with a breastplate compare the way I did with the LG product a couple of months ago, but I still felt confident about the readings. very few readings falls. over 4 runs with a total distance of about 20 miles, only once the headsets did lose my heart rate and only briefly. in your ear, these earphones are very safe (but not so comfortable-see below).
